Anime Avatar Fighting Which Avatars to Keep
Stage-by-stage keep rules for summoned fighters — lock carries, feed commons, replace fillers after each world.
The best Avatar in Anime Avatar Fighting is the one that still kills the current world while you bank gems for the next rarity jump. This page is the practical keep list. Letter grades live on the Avatar rankings. Roster context lives on the Players Hub. Champion support is a different ledger on the Champion roster.
Avatar Fighting Team released the game on 14 June 2026. You summon Avatars with gems, park them on a 10-player server, and they fight while you idle. Key art shows swordsman and shinobi silhouettes; that is art direction, not a named official roster. We do not invent drop percentages. We rank who stays on the field as you unlock areas, raids, and world bosses.
Redeem promo codes and luck and gem potions before a pull. Follow how to summon. If the Extra box is new, use how to redeem.
Early game — after Pui Pui, before the first world gate
Finish the Pui Pui click quest, join Avatar Fighting Team for Auto Attack and Fast Machines, and learn controls so you are not fighting the HUD. Your first summons are commons and other low-rarity archetypes. Keep the single highest-damage Avatar on the field. Everything else is food.
Early keep rules:
- One field slot for the strongest pull you have, even if it is still a common
- No Refine dumps into the second-best copy
- No locking C-tier
- Stop pulling if you cannot clear the current trash with Auto Attack — farm coins first
The getting started page is the day-one checklist. This page assumes that checklist is done. If you are still clicking every enemy by hand, you do not have a “best Avatar” problem yet.
Mid game — world-clear units worth gems
Once a new area costs real coins and the old common stalls, you are in the A/B band. The best Avatar is now the world-clear unit: it takes you to the next portal without a damage potion on every wave. Spend gems during luck potions on that rarity band. Mid-game fillers hold extra slots; they do not get Ascend materials.
Replace a filler the moment a stronger pull sits in inventory. Players lose hours upgrading the unit they like instead of the unit that clears. Swords, skins, auras, and accessories move with the replacement. Strip the filler, feed the body, equip the new field.
Use how to upgrade here. Upgrade is cheap enough to use on a world-clear unit. Refine and Ascend are for units you expect to still work after the next unlock. If you are unsure, leave Refine on the bench until the unit survives a world boss.
Late game — raid carries stay on the field
Raids and world bosses are the test that overworld farming hides. Open how to raid and watch which Avatar still contributes when the timer is public. That unit is your carry. Keep it on the field. Invest Upgrade, Refine, and Ascend. Do not rotate it off because a new mid-rarity dropped with a shinobi pose.
Late-game keep rules:
- Lock the raid carry
- Keep a second world-clear unit only if a slot is empty and it still helps waves
- Fodder everything that failed the last raid unless it is unique craft food
- Trade duplicate high-rarity copies after the Trade update, using how to trade
- Chase mythical-style rarity as a goal; do not invent a name for it, and do not sell your current carry to gamble
Leaderboards reward this short field. A 10-player server can see who is still carrying and who is posing. If you research auto-farm or auto-summon on the scripts hub, the tool will still farm whatever you left equipped — so leave the carry equipped.
Keep, feed, or replace
Use this as a session checklist:
| Decision | When it is true | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Keep | Clears the current world and still hits in raids or world bosses | Lock. Upgrade / Refine / Ascend. |
| Replace | A stronger rarity is sitting idle while this unit holds the slot | Strip loadout, swap, feed the old body. |
| Feed | Failed the last world unlock or was a cheap common all along | Upgrade food, Refine food, or craft food. Do not trade for more of it. |
Gem cost is the tie-breaker. If replacing a unit would stall the next world, keep it and finish its path. If it was cheap, it is food even if you like the swordsman look.
Retest after Update 0.5 and after each area on the updates hub. Economy patches change whether a mid-game unit is still “worth gems.”
What “best” is not
Best is not a collection. Best is not the Avatar that matches the thumbnail. Best is not a Champion — rank those on the Champion rankings. Best is not a sword or aura sitting in the inventory unequipped.
If two Avatars share a role, keep the one with more investment already in it unless the new pull is a full rarity band higher and you can afford to rebuild. Rebuilding a Refine path mid-raid week is how accounts stall.
More how-tos sit in the guides hub. Official links sit on the wiki page. Cross-check letter grades on the Tier List Hub whenever this keep list and the ladder disagree — the ladder explains why, this page tells you what to click.
Keep a short field, dump commons into crafts, and only lock a unit after it has survived a raid and a world boss without being replaced. The best Avatar is a job, not a poster. When the next world opens, run keep / replace / feed again before you spend another gem session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, summons, raids, and upgrades.
Who is the best starter Avatar by name?
There is no verified named starter roster. Keep your highest-damage early pull on the field and fodder the rest, as described on this page and on the Avatar rankings.
When should I lock an Avatar?
After it still clears the current world and contributes in a raid or world boss. Until then it is replaceable. Raid steps sit in how to raid.
Should I spend Refine on a mid-game filler?
No. Use Upgrade to bridge a world, then save Refine and Ascend for the keep column. Follow how to upgrade.
Do Champions count as best Avatars?
No. Champions are hatched support. Rank them on the Champion roster and the Champion rankings.
What do I use before pulling for a better Avatar?
Redeem codes and luck and gem potions, then pull with how to summon. Do not pull dry.
